3D Augmented Reality Model, using a handheld device such as a smart phone or tablet.

Our Augmented Reality Model is a mobile presentation system based on Augmented Reality technology combining real world experiences with virtual reality in real time. By moving and rotating a mobile device the User is provided the opportunity to navigate through a space in order to view the virtual model from a variety of angles giving the impression that the 3D architectural model is actually set in the real world.

This system is an ideal tool for presenting concepts which rely heavily on the sequence of movement experience for the success of the design. With only a mobile phone or small scale tablet device it is possible to make a powerful and interesting presentation.

We fully appreciate the benefits this technology offers to 3D architectural presentation and continually research and develop to maximise their potential. Following many successful presentations it proved advantageous to modify aspects of the design during the presentation under the direction of the Client. It is also possible to test and critique designs in their actual context on the site.

This is possible by using specialist software to connect GPS and built in accelerometers in the mobile devices in conjunction with the Augmented Reality application. As a result each Designer or Developer will be capable of presenting concepts in context using a mobile screen as a window to the future.
