Interactive Virtual Reality

VR, which can be referred to as immersive multimedia or computer-simulated life, replicates an environment that simulates physical presence in places in the real world or imagined worlds. Virtual reality can recreate sensory experiences, which include virtual sight, sound, and touch.

Whereas Augmented Reality supplements the real world, Virtual Reality (VR) creates an artificial one. The idea of VR is nothing new, but the technology has leapt forward in recent times. As well as being used in the gaming world, VR is being developed by Unique Interactive to create virtual representations of architectural designs.

Our VR systems enable a user to interact with, and explore, a design concept as an immersive 3D virtual world, navigated via a keyboard, a gamepad or by motion capture technology. The system acts as a window to the future, inspiring confidence and credibility in the design. The virtual world can be displayed through a tablet device, a computer monitor, a projector or a VR headset such as the Oculus Rift. It is an ideal tool for selling “off plan”.

iWalk
Interactive Virtual 3D Walk-through

Based on interactive Computer Generated Imagery this system allows the user to interact and engage with a design through physical gestures to virtually explore the design.

Our interactive Virtual Walk is a system based on a similar interactive 3D technology as the Interactive Model but in this instance the user interacts and engages with the design with physical gestures and body movements.

With this method it is possible to present a concept to a potential Client as an immersive 3D walk through in real time about a virtual world. The presentations are capable of being displayed on large scale LCD screens or through traditional projectors.

The unique aspect of this system is the motion-capture device which recognizes the movement of the User allowing them to completely and physically engage with a design as they control the virtual walk through with the movements of their body. In addition to the virtual walk through and its eye catching nature this application is capable of displaying more technical and complex information and data in form of text, images and technical drawings.

This system is capable of being utilised not only as presentation tool but also as a virtual design tool. Users are provided the opportunity to remodel a space by repositioning elements, modify their properties or by adding/modifying furniture. The system has enormous potential with a vast number of benefits.
